Age. In the age subgroups of patients, there is a tendency for a lower HR with a higher total HRV spectrum power in males and a more senior HR rate with a lower overall HRV spectrum power – in females. In the subgroups of normosystolic and tachysystolic AF, the HR and HRV indices in the orthostatic reaction in the supine position, regardless of the sex of the patients, are almost the same. The heart rate has a decisive role in the total power of HRV, both in the prone position and in an active orthostasis.
