Some pathological conditions

Peptic ulcer disease in its “pure” form is manifested by a high total spectrum power of HRV with a low LF / HF ratio. With loads it grows, and this concerns not only physical or mental stress, but also modulation of respiration.

Duodenal ulcer. Patient 43 years old. Acute ulcer of the duodenal bulb. From top to bottom – lying position, standing position, matronized breathing in a standing position. In the lying position, the high total power of the HRV spectrum at low LF/HF. With the transition to the standing position, a twofold drop in the total power of the HRV spectrum with an increase in the LF/HF ratio. Metronomization of respiration in the position of standing without changes in the total power of the HRV spectrum with a further increase in the LF/HF ratio.
