Severe depressive disorders. HRV before and after treatment with antidepressant drugs does not correlate with the severity of the depressive syndrome, although it increases after treatment. These data explain the higher risk of sudden death in depressive mental disorders. There are no noticeable differences in HRV in the standing position in patients with depression and control.
